The Programme
Posts Available
Documents detailing the posts available to last year's applicants (according to the hospital at which they are based) can be downloaded from this page on the East Anglian Foundation School site.

Placements are 3 x 4 months.
Training Options
Less Than Full Time (LTFT) training may be undertaken providing eligibility criteria are met and there is a well-founded reason to need to train less than full time.  You can found out more about their policy here.
Swap Shop
The School doesn't allow trainees to swap any F1 rotations or programmes.  For more information on their swapping policy, including their plans for F2 doctors, have a look at this policy document.

Academic Foundation Posts
For the Academic Foundation Programme, East Anglian Foundation School is divided into two separate Units of Application; while it is still a single school for the normal Foundation Programme applications, for Academic Foundation Programme applications you have to choose one Unit of Application (or apply to both).

The Units are the EAFS Cambridge Academic Foundation Programme and the EAFS Norfolk and Norwich University Foundation Programme.  There are 33 posts across Cambridge UoA and Norfolk and Norwich UoA.

EAFS Cambridge
For applicants to Cambridge, interviews will take place during 27th-29th November 2012.  The interview will be with two panel members, one clinical and one academic, and will be scored using standardised criteria.

Programmes have a dedicated 4-month academic placement during F2.  The first year of Cambridge posts is spent in regional hospitals in Kings Lynn, Bedford, Bury-St-Edmunds, and Peterborough; the second is spent in Cambridge.   Downloads showing the academic programmes on offer can be found here on the East Anglian School's website.  You can also find a Cambridge Job Description and Information Pack giving lots of detailed information about the application process and academic jobs at EAFS Cambridge.

EAFS Norfolk and Norwich University
Interviews will take place on the 30th November 2012.  All programmes are within Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Trust for both years.  Downloads showing the academic programmes on offer can be found here on the East Anglian School's website.
Medical Education Posts
There are no academic posts based in either EAFS Cambridge or EAFS Norfolk and Norwich University that are specifically focused on medical education.
